For 3 seasons solariums or sunrooms, monolithic glass would be the best way to go, 10 mm (3/8″) tempered glass offers security and protection against impacts that occur during everyday life and is available in a gray or bronze tint.
We would recommend this for the walls of the structure below 36″ in height we recommend that the roof (if in glass) be constructed with 10 mm (3/8″) laminated glass, this will insure that the glass will remain intact and in place even if damaged.
The glass for the roof can be filmed with a film of color or a loe film that will protect you from heat build up. Materials (structure) are normally non-insulated these units will have more heat loss during colder weather.
These units are tempered and can be tinted or supplied with loe glass and argon gas incorporated within. If used for roofing, it would be a combination of tempered exterior glass with a laminated interior. Normally these units are 1″ in total thickness. Materials used in the construction are insulated so there is no transfer of cold between exterior and interior is present these units although insulated would require a heat source to maintain comfort.
Needless to say, in both 3 and 4 season solariums and sunrooms, it would be possible to install windows doors and screens. These could be of almost every type, sliding, casement and awning (vented) and come with screens..
These types of units installed can be in either thermal or monolithic glass depending on type of seasonal unit requested
There are much more options to chose from, remote lighting incorporated in to the roof structure, these are 1 1/4 led lights, these lights are set about 16 to 24″ apart and can be dimmed with the remote provided and gives a cozy and comfortable environment to be in. Your unit can also be fitted with remote controlled horizontal glass panels instead of fix glass automatic screens, or privacy shades are also available. Even the roof can be fitted with remote controlled sunshade on the 3 season models we can offer retracting roofs made of a tough polymer material or aluminum fins, both of which are waterproof and beautiful. And yes we can install remote lighting in these units.
